FSC Certified

If you are trying to go green getting products that are FSC Certified is a great way of doing it.  FSC Certification grantees you that the flooring comes from a mill that abides by the strictest guidelines to keep the environment in mind.

Low VOC Finishes

A great way to help leave a smaller footprint is to use a low VOC finish.  These are usually Water based finishes that are very durable and long lasting.  Having no solvents means these finishes don’t leave you with an overwhelming smell while the finish is curing and looks amazing once done.

No VOC Wax

No VOC Wax products are making a huge push in the American green market.  For years these products have be used in Europe and have finally made their way over here.  Wax is a unique look that tends to have little to no sheen for a very old world look.  They are completely environmentally friendly but do require more upkeep then a traditional Swedish or Water based Finish.
